Marketing Communications Manager
What's This Role About?
As a Manager, Marketing and Communications, you will play an important role on the team in writing, creating and implementing our comprehensive messaging resources and programs related to corporate and product marketing, communications, public relations and advertising. This role is responsible for marketing communication initiatives both internally and externally, while also working on brand and communication planning, strategy, and execution of media, sponsorships, social media, web and public relations campaigns.
Who We're Looking For
You have 10+ years strategic marketing communications planning, project management and professional writing experience. Most importantly you are an exceptional writer at heart with a creative flair for storytelling in tech and you’ve successfully researched topics, partnered with designers, website developers, and videographers in your past roles. At this stage in your career, researching topics, interviewing subject matter experts, writing new content and building out detailed workback schedules involving agency partners and internal cross-functional teams is second nature to you.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Writing exceptional new content and the ability to adapt tone and style based on the audience.
Developing long and short-term plans and budgets for the marketing communications program while project managing everyone involved, monitoring the progress and evaluating the performance.
Create and implement brand and communications marketing initiatives, including planning, strategy and execution of communication, media, press releases, advertising, sponsorships, social media, and collateral, ensuring all deadlines are met. Contribute to yearly editorial content direction, design, production and distribution of all Encircle publications.
Consult with various internal stakeholders to understand the business objectives in order to develop new content that will enhance Encircle’s image and position within the marketplace.
Collaborate on building out our brand guidelines and templates, and conduct in-depth research to identify consumer preferences and buyer personas to support campaign creations.
Create persuasive messaging points, presentations, and materials to communicate marketing strategies to key stakeholders.
Ensures articulation of Encircle’s desired brand with consistent communication of image and position throughout Encircle, both internally and externally.
Ensures digital campaigns increase our web traffic and promote the brand image on all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter etc.).
Required Skills and Knowledge
Strong writer with 10+ years of strategic Marketing communications planning and budgeting expertise that includes successfully creating and managing detailed workback schedules, deliverables, and timelines.
Marketing and promotion with B2B experience (preferably in the SaaS space), along with years of successfully managing creative and innovative communication programs that deliver measurable results.
Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate and defend ideas that may be unpopular.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of brand strategy and the principles of branding.
Excels at building out content calendars, themes, and social media strategies.
Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications with related 10+ years field
Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multi-task conflicting priorities to ensure tasks are completed on time and budget
Ability to work unpredictable hours, including some evenings and weekends
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Experience working with sales and marketing management tools (i.e. Salesforce, Hubspot etc)
