Product Manager

Kitchener (Remote) - Full Time

The team at Encircle is leading the $2 Trillion Property Insurance industry out of the dark ages of pen and paper processes into the digital age of transparency and empowerment.

Our mission is to eliminate the key factors that prevent property insurance policyholders from getting ‘back to normal’ after one of the worst days of their lives.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Product Manager to empathize with our customers, find and validate their problems, and deliver innovative solutions that serve the property restoration industry. This is an industry that restores properties and communities after a homeowner or business owner suffers a loss due to fire, flood, natural disaster or other property damaging event. With natural disasters on the rise this global industry needs your help to scale and operate more efficiently.

You’ll be working alongside a world-class team of intelligent, hard-working and humble product managers, designers, engineers, marketers and customer success managers to continuously improve the Encircle solution, trusted by restoration contractors in Canada, US, UK and Australia. Your critical thinking, product sense, and empathy for our customers will shape the product for these markets, and take the experience from good to great.

The ideal candidate will have had experience using data, customer insights and an experimental mindset to measurably improve an existing B2B product.

In this role, you’ll be expected to:

  • Talk to customers and their employees to build empathy and gather insights
  • Stay on-top of relevant industry, market, competitive and technological trends.
  • Analyze insights and data to synthesize that knowledge into a plan of action that is aligned with the broader product strategy and yearly or quarterly objectives.
  • Leverage sound product management practices to validate and prioritize problems and solutions with a cross-functional team.
  • Collaborate closely with Encircle designers and developers to bring your product solutions to market
  • Break down solutions into prioritized releases that deliver value to our users
  • Educate sales, customer success and marketing on the solution and the value it provides, to help them craft messaging, training and go-to-market strategies.
  • Clearly communicate your plan, the problem, solution and timeframes with key stakeholders, executives and the broader company.
  • Measure the solution's success. Did it deliver the value it should have?
  • Be an active participant in both short & long term roadmap planning.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience as a product manager or related roles
  • Post secondary degree preferred (business or technical program is ideal)
  • Knowledge of product management principles and frameworks for collaborative & iterative product discovery and delivery
  • Experience with mobile and web solutions is a bonus
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment is preferred
